NEWCASTLE
Aramram (Sean Levey)
I was delighted with his run in the Wokingham last week and he seems to have come out of it well. He’s done very little at home since and has enjoyed plenty of time in the grass pens so hopefully he’s freshened himself up. We obviously won’t know until he runs, but I’m very happy with him and his record on the All Weather is very good (1-2-2).

Talis Evolvere (Sean Levey)
He ran another fantastic race in the Royal Hunt Cup and is a few pounds lower. The last time he ran on over this trip was on the All Weather at Chelmsford and he won off a 5lbs higher mark, so he’s quite well treated and has lots in his favour.
WINDSOR
Houstonn (Pat Dobbs)
He’s not the most consistent and needs to bounce back from a poor run last time, but we’re stepping back up in trip, which he ran well over at Ascot on his penultimate start, and the Handicapper has dropped him another pound.
LINGFIELD
Meblesh (Joe Leavy)
He ran below-par at Newmarket last time, over a trip that was on the sharp side, so he’s stepping back up in trip. There are only three runners, but it looks a very competitive race and could prove tactical; that said, it’s a small drop down in grade and he warrants serious respect.
The Coffee Pod (Joe Leavy)
He got squeezed out at the start last time, but finished his race really well, and showed a revival in form. He’s coming back down to quite an attractive mark, and this looks a very suitable opportunity.
