Player to score – Marco Asensio (Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest) 5/2

A run of three wins in four league games has moved Aston Villa to within three points of the top five and Champions League qualification. Unai Emery’s team are finding form at the right time and can continue their streak with a win at home to Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Marcus Rashford has grabbed headlines in recent weeks, but nobody has scored more goals for Villa since the January transfer window than Marco Asensio. The Spaniard is expected to start against Forest after coming off the bench against Brighton during the week. Asensio is a threat every time he plays.

Under 2.5 total goals – Everton v Arsenal (4/7)

Arsenal are unbeaten in 19 of their last 20 league fixtures. However, the Gunners are struggling for attacking firepower, particularly away from home. Mikel Arteta’s team have scored just one goal in their last two away games in the Premier League while there has been under 2.5 goals in Everton’s last four games.

Not only this, there has been under 2.5 goals in Everton’s last three home games against Arsenal in all competitions. David Moyes will set up his team to stifle the visitors to Goodison Park and while Bukayo Saka’s return from injury will help Arsenal create in the final third, but Everton will make it a cagey encounter.

Match to be a draw – West Ham v Bournemouth (5/2)

West Ham are struggling for traction. The Hammers are without a win in their last three league matches and have scored just once over the course of that run. Meanwhile, Bournemouth are also suffering a serious dip in form having lost their last three games in all competitions.

Graham Potter is struggling to find an attacking formula that produces goals. Indeed, there has been under 2.5 goals in West Ham’s last six league games. Bournemouth don’t have that problem, but they have conceded two goals in each of their last four matches. They don’t have the right balance.

Both teams to score – Real Madrid v Valencia (9/10)

Real Madrid have scored seven goals in their last two games. They have also conceded six. Carlo Ancelotti’s team are currently lacking balance between attack and defence and this should give encouragement to Valencia who have been in resurgent form recently.

Valencia have won two of their last three games. Umar Sadiq has made an impact since joining on loan from Real Sociedad in January while Diego Lopez is fresh from scoring the winner against Mallorca last weekend. Of course, Real Madrid have the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham to find the net, but Valencia could make their own impact.

Sunday’s Manchester Derby will see two rivals face each other as a disappointing season for both comes to a close. However, while Manchester City have allowed their level to drop, they are still chasing Champions League qualification and are on a run of just one defeat in their last six games in all competitions.

Omar Marmoush will lead the line for City in Erling Haaland’s absence. The Egyptian has scored in each of his last three appearances for Manchester City and will have opportunities against a Manchester United team that has kept a clean sheet in just one of their last 11 outings. City have had under 2.5 yellow cards in their last six away games.
