Player to score – Beto (Wolves v Everton) 49/20
Beto’s fortunes have been transformed by the arrival of David Moyes at Goodison Park. The Everton striker has scored five goals in his last six games and will be a threat against Wolves at Molineux this weekend. The Toffees are playing to Beto’s strengths, getting him in on goal as often as possible. Wolves come into the game having lost three of their last four. The Molineux outfit has kept just one clean sheet in their last four home games, so Everton are a good bet to have opportunities. Beto has been in good form and could give Wolves problems this weekend.
Over 3.5 total goals – Liverpool v Southampton (8/13)
After a difficult evening against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday, Liverpool return to Premier League action with a favourable fixture against Southampton this weekend. Indeed, Arne Slot’s table-toppers are firm favourites to win and win in style against the basement boys. There has been over 2.5 goals in Southampton’s last nine league matches. No team has conceded more goals in the Premier League this season than the Saints, while Liverpool are the division’s top scorers. This has the potential to be one of the most one-sided encounters of the whole season.
Match to be a draw – Tottenham v Bournemouth (14/5)
The omens are good for Tottenham Hotspur to get a win against Bournemouth this weekend. Indeed, the North London outfit have won six of their last seven home games over the Cherries. However, Bournemouth are pushing for Champions League qualification and will want points against Spurs. Ange Postecoglou’s team could be leggy after Thursday’s Europa League defeat to AZ Alkmaar. Spurs will control much of the ball on Sunday, but Bournemouth are one of the most dangerous teams to play against on the rapid counter-attack. A draw could be on the cards.
Both teams to score – Brighton v Fulham (8/13)
Brighton and Fulham are capable of big results and performances, as demonstrated by their impressive FA Cup victories last week over Newcastle United and Manchester United, respectively. Saturday’s meeting at the Amex Stadium could be an entertaining one. This is a match that should produce goals. Fulham have scored two or more goals in eight of their last 10 matches in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Brighton have found the back of the net 11 times in their last four outings in all competitions. This match is difficult to call. It could swing either way, but Brighton and Fulham have firepower.
MAN UNITED vs ARSENAL BET BUILDER
Arsenal rediscovered their scoring touch during the week in a 7-1 demolition of PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League. The Gunners will be looking to keep that attacking form going against Manchester United this weekend to revive their title hopes when Liverpool is quickly disappearing over the horizon. Myles Lewis-Skelly has recently developed a reputation for ill-discipline, so the youngster is a good bet to pick up a card at Old Trafford. Arsenal have had the most concerns in each of their last eight league matches, so this might be another good selection for this weekend’s fixture.
