Player to score – Anthony Gordon (Newcastle v Bournemouth)
There is no Premier League striker in hotter form right now than Alexander Isak who has scored nine goals in his last six games. However, the goal scoring form of Anthony Gordon is flying under the radar. Indeed, the Newcastle United winger has found the back of the net in each of his last four outings.
Eddie Howe’s team are on a winning run of nine matches in all competitions and will fancy their chances of making it 10 in-a-row at home to Bournemouth this weekend. Gordon is arguably the most in-form winger in the league at the moment and will give the Cherries problems in the wide areas.
Over 2.5 total goals – Eintracht Frankfurt v Dortmund
Eintracht Frankfurt could be without top scorer Omar Marmoush for Friday’s home match against Borussia Dortmund as the Egyptian closes in on a transfer to Manchester City. However, this still has the potential to be a high-scoring, entertaining encounter between two attack-minded teams.
Dortmund have scored two or more goals in their last seven matches against Frankfurt in all competitions. There has also been over 2.5 goals in the last three Frankfurt home matches against the Black and Yellows and so the omens are good for this weekend’s clash to be another exciting game.
Match to be a draw – Juventus v AC Milan
Juventus have still to suffer defeat in Serie A this season, but Thiago Motta’s team have also incredibly drawn 13 of their 20 matches. The Bianconeri have drawn three of their last four games in the league and will face an AC Milan team that have also drawn two of their last five matches in all competitions.
Both Juve and AC Milan are enduring disappointing seasons although the Rossoneri are in resurgent form under new manager Sergio Conceicao. Milan came from behind to beat Como on Tuesday, but will find it trickier to break down a stubborn Juventus defence on Saturday.
Both teams to score – Brentford v Liverpool
Brentford have been the great entertainers in the Premier League this season, particularly at home. No team has scored more goals at home this season than the Bees who have scored over 2.5 goals in 12 of their last 15 matches in the league. They are a good bet to find the net against Liverpool.
Of course, Liverpool carry an attacking threat of their own. No team has scored more goals away from home this season than the Reds who are four points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Saturday’s meeting between Brentford and Liverpool should see both teams take chunks out of each other.

ARSENAL vs ASTON VILLA
Arsenal are hoping to build on Wednesday’s North London Derby win over Tottenham Hotspur, but injuries to attackers Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Ethan Nwaneri could restrict the Gunners. It will largely be on Martin Odegaard to make the difference for the home team in the final third on Sunday.
Aston Villa enter Sunday’s match at the Emirates Stadium on the back of a three-game winning run with Unai Emery’s team resurgent. An away win over Arsenal like the one they pulled off last season would propel Villa back into contention for a top four finish. This could be an awkward game for the Gunners.
