Player to score – Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus v Roma)

Thiago Motta has transformed Juventus who have started the Serie A campaign with back-to-back wins. The Old Lady have rebuilt over the summer and could make an early statement by extending their winning run against Roma on Sunday with Dusan Vlahovic expected to lead the line for the Turin outfit.

Vlahovic scored twice in the 3-0 win over Verona last weekend and looks set for a successful season. Under Max Allegri, Juventus played a conservative style of football that didn’t suit the Serbian striker, but Motta’s approach is more attack-minded and that should get the best out of Vlahovic.

Over 2.5 total goals – Arsenal v Brighton

Arsenal have started the Premier League season with back-to-back wins, but could face their toughest test so far against a Brighton team that also boasts a 100% record after two games. The Seagulls have caught the eye with impressive wins over Everton and Manchester United and could cause the Gunners problems.

There has been over 2.5 goals in five of the last six meetings between Arsenal and Brighton in all competitions and while the Gunners boast a strong defensive record (two clean sheets in two games), the Seagulls have the likes of Kaoru Mitoma and Simon Adingra to exploit space in quick transition.

Match to be a draw – Athletic Bilbao v Atletico Madrid

While Atletico Madrid made a big splash in the transfer market with the signing of Julian Alvarez and Conor Gallagher, they have struggled for form early on this season, drawing against Espanyol during the week. Even in the 2-0 victory over Girona, Diego Simeone’s team were somewhat fortunate to snatch all three points.

Athletic Club claimed their first win of the new season at home to Getafe on Wednesday, but all three of their games have been tight encounters. This could be another cagey match that has the potential to swing either way, but is a good bet to end in a draw that would suit the home team more than the visitors.

Both teams to score – Chelsea v Crystal Palace

Chelsea claimed their first Premier League win of the season by thumping Wolves 6-2 last weekend. Even in this emphatic victory, though, Enzo Maresca’s side looked vulnerable at the back which will give Crystal Palace encouragement as they prepare to travel across London to Stamford Bridge this weekend.

While the Eagles have struggled for form in the early part of this season, they will likely have opportunities to find the back of the net against Chelsea that has seen over 2.5 goals in 13 of their last 15 league games. This could be a back-and-forth encounter that demonstrated both teams’ attacking quality.

Manchester United and Liverpool will clash at Old Trafford on Sunday with Arne Slot looking to make it three wins from three to start life as a Premier League manager. United, on the other hand, enter this game on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Brighton which proved their defensive vulnerabilities are still there.

Mohamed Salah has scored two goals in two games and has scored 14 goals in 15 games against Manchester United as a Liverpool player. Liverpool have had under 2.5 cards in their last five away matches at Old Trafford in all competitions and will look to keep their discipline in this weekend’s game.
