Player to score – Bukayo Saka (Arsenal v Newcastle) 31/20

While Arsenal drew a blank against Porto in the Champions League mid-week, they have been in sparkling goalscoring form in the Premier League, netting 11 times in their last two games against West Ham and Burnley. Saka has also been in sharp form in front of goal, scoring six goals in his last four league outings.

Newcastle United built last season’s success on a solid defensive foundation, but their backline has been more vulnerable this term. Indeed, the Magpies haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last eight Premier League matches. The Gunners will have opportunities to find the net and Saka could convert at least one.

Over 2.5 total goals – Bayern Munich v RB Leipzig (2/5)

Bayern Munich need a positive result against RB Leipzig this weekend to keep alive their hopes of winning the Bundesliga title. Thomas Tuchel’s team simply can’t allow Bayer Leverkusen to extend their eight-point lead any further, but RB Leipzig will be challenging opponents at the Allianz Arena.

RB Leipzig have scored two or more goals in eight of their last 10 league matches. There have also been over 2.5 goals in 23 of Bayern Munich’s last 26 matches in the Bundesliga. There’s good reason to believe Saturday’s match will produce drama such is the recent form of both teams.

Match to be a draw – West Ham v Brentford (5/2)

David Moyes is under pressure. West Ham have suffered a dreadful start to 2024 with the London Stadium outfit still waiting for their first league win since the turn of the year. Even more concerning for the Hammers is that they have failed to even score in their last three Premier League matches. They are struggling badly.

Brentford aren’t faring much better. The Bees have lost nine of their last 11 league matches. They have also won just one of their last seven matches away from home. Neither team is particularly sure of itself right now and that could result in a cagey, low-quality encounter that ends with a sharing of the spoils.

Both teams to score – Bournemouth v Manchester City (4/6)

Manchester City have won 12 of their last 13 matches in all competitions, but this isn’t to say they have had it all their own way recently. Indeed, Pep Guardiola’s team haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home in the Premier League since their 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford all the way back in October.

Bournemouth have scored in every league match they have played since last month’s home defeat to Liverpool, netting twice in a credible 2-2 draw away to Newcastle United last weekend. Dominic Solanke has been one of the most prolific centre forwards in the Premier League this season. City will have their hands full.

Despite producing an unconvincing performance, Manchester United extended their winning run in the Premier League to four matches by beating Luton Town last weekend. There’s good reason to believe they will extend that run to five wins in-a-row considering United have won 14 of their last 16 matches against Fulham in all competitions.

While Erik ten Hag’s team have turned a corner, they have kept a clean sheet in just one of their last four games. Injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw are unlikely to help their defence. But their attack can remain hot, despite the absence of in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund, they should have too much for the Cottagers to handle.
