A split game week but we’re set for another sensational weekend of Premier league action, with goals galore the mainstay of a menu packed with thrills, spills, action, and so much more.

Bournemouth host Liverpool in a tricky test for Liverpool, while Arsenal host Crystal Palace, with their south London rivals improving on the road.

The guys from OPTA have returned, scouring their records and using their incredible database of match facts and stats to determine the best bets from a selection of Premier League games this weekend.

Science, don’t you just love it?

Arsenal v Crystal Palace

Arsenal have scored the opening goal in five of their last six Premier League meetings with Crystal Palace, while the Gunners have won their last 17 home games in the competition when leading at half time (since a 1-2 defeat to Man City in January 2022).

Brentford v Nottingham Forest

Brentford’s Ivan Toney has scored 11 goals in his last 14 home Premier League games, netting in each of his last three appearances at the Gtech Community Stadium, including a goal against Nottingham Forest in his last appearance there in April 2023.

Bournemouth v Liverpool

Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke had had more shots than any other player in the Premier League this season (66). The former-Liverpool striker has scored in each of his last three home league games (four goals) and could become the first player to score in four consecutive home appearances in the Premier League for the Cherries.

Brighton and Hove Albion v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Brighton have scored and conceded in each of their last 13 home league games (since a 1-0 victory over Man Utd in May), while Wolves have kept just one clean sheet in their last 26 away Premier League matches (v Everton last August).
