Player to score – Son Heung-min (Wolves v Tottenham) 6/5

Tottenham Hotspur can momentarily return to the top of the Premier League table with a win over Wolves in Saturday’s early kick-off. Son Heung-min has been Spurs’ biggest attacking threat this season, scoring eight goals in 11 league fixtures including five goals in his last six outings in all competitions.

Ange Postecoglou might have a number of injuries to deal with after Monday’s defeat to Chelsea with James Maddison and Micky van de Ven both doubts. This will place even more of an onus on Son to provide threat in front of goal, although the forward will miss having Maddison behind him as a playmaker.

Under 2.5 total goals – Barcelona v Alaves (29/20)

Xavi Hernandez is under pressure after a poor run of form by Barcelona who most recently suffered defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. Perhaps the most concerning thing about Barca’s recent form has been their lack of goals. Indeed, they have found the back of the net just five times in their last five matches.

Alaves are sitting in the bottom half of the La Liga table, but they kept a clean sheet in their last outing against Almeria and have conceded more than one goal in just one of their last four league matches – and that was against Atletico Madrid when they conceded twice.

Match to be a draw – Crystal Palace v Everton (43/20)

Crystal Palace have struggled for consistent form of late with last weekend’s 2-0 win over Burnley their first victory in four league matches. On top of this, Roy Hodgson’s team haven’t won a home match in the Premier League since the 3-2 win over Wolves in September. The Eagles are lacking in confidence.

Everton, meanwhile, are building momentum and have lost just two of their last eight matches in all competitions. The Toffees have won two of their five away games in the Premier League so far this season and are becoming increasingly difficult to beat as Dyche-ball starts to take root at Goodison Park.

Both teams to score – Stuttgart v Borussia Dortmund (4/9)

Only two teams – Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich – have scored more goals in the Bundesliga this season than Stuttgart. Sebastian Hoeneß’s team have been the surprise package in the German top flight and there has been over 2.5 goals in 17 of Stuttgart’s last 18 matches against Borussia Dortmund in all competitions.

Dortmund have been somewhat inconsistent in recent weeks, but scored twice against Newcastle United during the week and found the back of the net three times in their last away game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Edin Terzic’s team still have significant threat in the attacking third.

Chelsea have the opportunity to build some momentum after the thrilling away win over Tottenham Hotspur although Manchester City will present another tough test. Cole Palmer has scored three times in his last five games and is a good bet to continue this record against his former club.

City, meanwhile, come into this game on the back of five straight victories in all competitions. Chelsea have also lost the second half of their last four home matches in all competitions. The Blues might be more competitive now than at any other stage of the season, but the visitors remain the favourites.
