Heredia Sean Levey

SANDOWN

2:25 G3 Atalanta Stakes

Heredia (Sean Levey)

I was delighted to see her get her head back in front at Haydock last time after a couple of slightly below-par efforts, and that has given her confidence a lot of good. She’s always been a very high class filly and a stiff mile like this will really suit. She’ll handle the ground and goes there with a great chance.

Circe (Sean Levey)

She is the most gorgeous filly by Kodiac who has been doing everything right at home. Her work is pretty smart, and while she’ll definitely come on for the experience, I’m hopeful she won’t disgrace herself.

 5:20

Swift Asset (Ryan Moore)

He ran well at Brighton last time, but got put up another 2lbs for the effort, so is very much in the Handicapper’s grip. Five furlongs is his trip, however, and he’ll go on the ground.

CHESTER

2:45

Skallywag Bay (David Egan)

She’s a tough, consistent filly who probably should’ve won more races than she has, but a sharp track like Chester will really play to her strengths, and I expect a very bold show.

CHELMSFORD

8:15

Tahitian Prince (Tom Greatrex)

He’s come down to quite a workable mark and ran a decent race at Kempton last time. The All Weather seems to suit him best and a mile is his optimum trip.

WOLVERHAMPTON

6:00

Always Fearless (Mr Ben Pollard)

It was the perfect start to Ben’s riding career when he won aboard this lad on his first ride at Salisbury earlier this month, and I don’t think he stayed ten furlongs last time. Dropping back in trip is an obvious plus and if he can get across from stall 12, he’d have a decent chance.

Time To Hunt (Sam Hitchcott)

He shaped with promise on debut at Newmarket and will have learnt plenty from it. This looks a pretty decent Maiden and I think he’ll be a more confident betting proposition in Handicaps.

8:30

Lexington Knight (Connor Beasley)

He stays well, so will appreciate the step back up to a mile and a half, and has won twice over course and distance. The Handicapper isn’t taking any chances but I can’t see any reason why he won’t be bang there.

KENTUCKY

10:54

Mammas Girl (Florent Geroux)

It’s nice to have a runner Stateside this weekend and Joe, who went out with her earlier in the week, reports her to have settled in nicely and she’s eating up, which are the two most important things. She only ran 14 days ago but is a tough filly and a speed track like Kentucky might just suit her. The winner receives half a million pounds so you can see why we’re giving it a shot!
