Player to score – Victor Osimhen (Napoli v Lazio) – 5/4

Napoli are marching towards their first Serie A title since 1990 and the days of Diego Maradona. Indeed, Luciano Spalletti’s team enter the weekend with an 18-point advantage at the top of the table and Victor Osimhen has been their driving force with 19 league goals to the Nigerian’s name so far this season.

Osimhen has found the back of the net in each of his last seven matches. The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the most reliable goalscorers in European football this season and there’s good reason to believe his good run of scoring form will continue against Lazio on Friday evening.

Under 1.5 total goals – Chelsea v Leeds (14/5)

Nothing is coming easily for Chelsea at the moment. Not only are the Blues without a win in their last six matches in all competitions, they have scored the fewest Premier League goals of any team since the start of November. Indeed, there have been under 2.5 total goals scored in Chelsea’s last six league outings.

On top of this, there have been under 2.5 total goals in five of Leeds United’s last six Premier League matches. Javi Gracia won his first match in charge against Southampton last weekend, but he has focused on instilling some defensive solidity to stop his new team’s slide towards relegation.

Match to be a draw – Aston Villa v Crystal Palace (23/10)

Crystal Palace have earned a reputation for themselves as the draw masters of the Premier League this season. Indeed, Patrick Vieira’s team have drawn five of their last six games with the Eagles still waiting for their first win of 2023. It will be tricky for them to gain that first win at Villa Park on Saturday.

Aston Villa enter the weekend on the back of a 2-0 win over Everton, but they have lost their last two matches at home. Unai Emery’s side have struggled for consistency since the arrival of the Spaniard and Crystal Palace – who have conceded more than one goal in their last seven games – won’t be easy to play through.

Both teams to score – Borussia Dortmund v RB Leipzig (11/20)

Borussia Dortmund still have a 100% record in 2023 with Edin Terzic’s team now within touching distance of Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga. In fact, the Black and Yellows would overtake the defending champions with a victory over RB Leipzig on Friday evening. That is the prize on offer.

RB Leipzig are also undefeated in 14 of their last 15 matches. There have been over 2.5 total goals scored in five of RB Leipzig’s last six games in the Bundesliga, demonstrating their attacking threat as a team. Dortmund and RB Leipzig look likely to score goals against each other at the Westfalenstadion.

Manchester United look to be a serious force again. The last two weeks have seen Erik Ten Hag’s team knock Barcelona out of the Europa League, win the Carabao Cup and make the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. United have also scored two or more goals in each of their last five Premier League matches.

Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in their last four league matches, but they also recently conceded five goals against a Real Madrid team who aren’t dissimilar to Manchester United in the way they both play a quick transition game. This could be a difficult afternoon for the Anfield crowd.
