Jet Powered

I was asked about him in the Unibet Q & A we did before Christmas and I said then let’s not carried away and run before we can walk with him. Yes, he was very impressive here on his hurdling debut and we think very highly of him – and so do the bookmakers who have him as second or third favourite for the Supreme – but let’s not forget the form of the race is not that strong, with the third and fifth well beaten since, and he still has plenty to prove. But we could not have asked any more from him there and he excites us. He carries a 5lb penalty in a better race here, so let’s see.

Bothwell Bridge

He has completely lost his way over fences after falling at Kempton, so we have brought him back to hurdles to try to get some confidence back into his racing. He was a fair hurdler and a mark of 131 gives him a definite chance if he shows us what he is capable of, as there is a good horse in there. However, he clearly has a lot to prove at the moment.

Attacca – NON RUNNER

I liked him when he won at Kempton but I must say I was a little bit surprised that he was able to go and win like he did at Cheltenham last time in much better company. He beat some well-regarded sorts there, he jumped well and he did it in really tenacious style, and the latter trait is always good to see. He obviously faces a stiffer challenge up to Grade 1 class here but I can see him improving again as he steps up in trip. His run-style and pedigree give you plenty of encouragement that 2m4f will suit him.

Bold Endeavour

He did it well from the front for me at Leicester last time. Maybe too well as he has gone up 9lb for that win and he is into a deeper race here, but hopefully there is more to come – the Leicester run was his debut for us – he is ground-versatile and the extra trip here won’t be a problem.
