Pentland Hills

He returns to the scene of his finest hour, his Triumph Hurdle success, and he clearly likes it here. He had his walkover at Huntingdon and he makes his chasing debut proper here and we have been very happy with him at home. Of course, he has had his issues in the past couple of years but he won on the Flat in September and hopefully he can give a good account of himself here as he starts over fences. This looks a tough race, though.

On The Blind Side

He is getting on as a 10yo now but he goes very well when fresh and at this course, so hopefully he can go well off a mark of 144 here. He actually won this race first time out for me in 2020 off a 1lb higher mark and he likes decent ground, though he acts on softer. This could be the time to catch him.

Wiseguy

He beat Hillcrest in his bumper for me last year and won his maiden hurdle over 3m at that track when we last saw him. He had a setback afterwards but I think a mark of 119 is fair for his return. I’d be hopeful he can feature here.

Luccia

She is a filly we are very excited by. She was a revelation when winning in the mud at Sandown back in March and I think she will be equally effective on this better ground. She carries a 4lb penalty but I’d be disappointed if she doesn’t go well here, for all it is clearly a very good bumper.
