Sandy Paradise (Sam Waley-Cohen)

It’s great to be part of this race and I’m delighted to have secured the services of Gold Cup and Grand National-winning jockey, Sam Waley Cohen who hasn’t long retired so you’d like to think he’ll be one of the fitter riders taking part! This horse is very consistent and he’s been in excellent form in his last few starts. He’s only ever won on the All Weather but I’ve got no worries with the ground and a mile suits him best. 

3:35 G3 Sceptre Stakes

Heredia (Sean Levey)

She actually ran a very good race on the G3 Oak Tree Stakes at the Qatar Goodwood Festival last time where she wasn’t beaten all that far and I’m also not convinced she really handled the track. This more conventional course will suit her, very much like York, and her bloods have been good so she comes into this in good shape at home and will love the ground. 

4:45 Nursery

Starnberg (Sean Levey)

He’s shaped with promise on all three starts and is a capable colt who shouldn’t have any problem winning a race like this. He’s not the quickest from the stalls so the step up to a mile will suit and he looks a very good each way bet on his Handicap debut.
