DONCASTER

1:15

Desert Angel (Hollie Doyle)

He should have won a race by now but for one reason or another he’s still a maiden, however he’s got plenty of ability and I think the step up to a mile will suit. We are putting the blinkers on which will hopefully help and he doesn’t have any excuses.

Magic Warrior (David Egan)

He ran really well on soft ground at Haydock last time but I think he’ll be happier on the quicker ground here and he’s definitely worth stepping up in trip because he’s been shaping like he’ll appreciate the extra distance, and while he’s got to improve, it’s entirely possible and he has a decent chance.

Lusail (Pat Dobbs)

I was over the moon with his win in the Gimcrack last time and he seems to be getting better and better with racing. I’m not concerned at all about the step back up to 7 furlongs and the long straight will play to his strengths, as it did at York. There aren’t many runners so it could prove tactical but he’s very uncomplicated and goes there with an obvious chance.

3:00

Oh This Is Us (Tom Marquand)

He’s an absolute star and has been in great form at home. Sometimes his form is a little in and out but on any going day he’s very, very good and you can never rule him out. Tom gets on so well with him and the trip and track are perfect so hopefully he’ll run well.

3:35

Mojo Star (Rossa Ryan)

We’ve had a few runners in the Leger down the years and they’ve all run very well but there’s no doubt this colt is one of the best chances we’ve had of winning it because he’s always been very high class. The trip is an unknown but I can’t see any reason why he won’t stay and on his run in the Derby he would have to be bang there. Hopefully next year he will develop into a Cup horse and we’re really looking forward to an exciting future with him.

5:10

Qaysar (Pat Dobbs)

He’s been in generally good form all season, and usually runs his race but was a little bit disappointing at Goodwood last time when things didn’t really go his way, however he’s got some good form and when he’s good he’s very very good. Giving weight all round won’t be easy but hopefully he can still run well.

BATH

2:05

Loquace (Thore Hammer Hansen)

She’s run well on her last two starts in novices and makes her handicap debut off what looks feasible mark. The ground is in her favour and she should go extremely close.

LINGFIELD

3:40

Fancy Man (Sean Levey)

It’s a shame he hasn’t managed to win yet this season because he’s run some very good races at a higher level than this so deserves to get his head back in front and the step back up in trip will suit.  We’ll make plenty of use of him, and while you’re not going to get rich backing him, you’d have to say it will be disappointing if he’s not capable of winning.

5:50

Mamasaidknockuout (Sean Levey)

She hasn’t won for a while but likes the All Weather and if she can bounce back from disappointing run last time maybe she can finish in the money.
