DONCASTER

2:00 Listed Unibet Doncaster Mile

Beat Le Bon (Sean Levey)

We gelded him in the autumn and he badly needed his first run but he ran two excellent races since and did well to finish where he did last time because he was very slow away leaving the stalls.  He’s always been a high-class horse and this race should be run to suit, so I think he has a solid chance.

Qaysar (Rossa Ryan)

He’s a very consistent horse who has won around here and handles pretty much any ground but I do expect him to need this on his first run since October.

2:35 Unibet Spring Mile Handicap

Cityzen Serg (Sean Levey)

He’s been kept very busy on the all-weather over the winter and managed to pick up a couple of races along the way so he’ll definitely be sharper than a few of the others in the field. He ran better than the form figures suggest at Kempton last time because he met quite a bit of trouble so I wouldn’t read too much into that.

3:10 Unibet Lincoln Handicap

Ouzo (Sean Levey)

He’s always been a very consistent and talented horse and I was delighted to see him end last season with a gutsy victory at York. This is a very tough return to action, and he is off a career high mark but he’s been in excellent shape at home and this race has been the plan for quite some time.

Man Of The Night (Rossa Ryan)

As a two-year-old we thought he was the second coming but unfortunately things haven’t quite gone to plan and he hasn’t managed to win since his debut at Newbury. However he has really matured into a strong horse and the run at Wolverhampton will have put him spot on for this. He’s relatively lightly raced and I’d like to think there is still a bit to come from him.

The Unibet Lincoln Handicap: We're paying 1/5 odds 6 places

WOLVERHAMPTON

4:25 Handicap

Beijing Billy (Luke Catton)

He doesn’t stay a mile and a half so we’re going right back down in trip, putting the blinkers on for the first time and will make plenty of use of him. He is yet to win a race but I hope he can rectify that here under Luke Catton who takes a valuable 7lbs off. Put it this way, there are no excuses.

5:30 Handicap

Tajdid (Thore Hammer-Hansen)

He makes his Handicap debut in what looks a very suitable race and the spin around Lingfield will have sharpened him up nicely. The step up in trip is also a big plus and I think he has a massive chance.
