1:20 – 32Red Handicap

Tahitian Prince (Sean Levey)

He’s come down plenty in the weights and we’ve gelded him over the winter because I’m not entirely convinced he was fully concentrating on the job in hand and he’s capable of more than he’s showing. But his work has been good and seven furlongs around here looks a very good place to start. I think he has a decent each way shout.

1:55 – Unibet Novice Stakes

Lafan (Rossa Ryan)

He’s a very nice horse who’s done some nice work but is a big, heavy colt who might just need a race or two to hit top gear. He has a lot of ability, however, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he ran very prominently.

State Secretary (Kieran Shoemark)

I thought he put up a very good performance when second on debut at Kempton in September where he finished his race really well and will have learnt plenty from it. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the ground, though, because he doesn’t want it to the extreme, either too fast or if there’s a deluge of raine he wouldn’t want it soft, so we’ll see what the weather does and I’ll have a look at the track myself tomorrow. But I’ve been happy with him at home and with a bit of luck he can run a nice race.

2:30 – Unibet Novice Stakes

Lexington Knight (Sean Levey)

He’s quite a nice colt who is big and tall and done some very good work and will run well, but is definitely one for the future.

Soundslikethunder (Rossa Ryan)

I was slightly disappointed with him last year but he’s been working really, really well and I’m hopeful that he can nearly win.

3:05 – 32Red Casino Handicap

Fox Power (Silvestre De Sousa)

We are putting the blinkers on because I’m a little bit suspicious that he’s saving something for himself in the closing stages so hopefully the headgear will just make him concentrate because he is a very classy horse who has some decent form and is as fit as a flea having been kept busy over the winter.

4:50 – 32Red Handicap

Lexington Dash (Thore Hammer Hansen)

He’s got some top-class handicap form and it will be interesting to see how Haqeeqy runs in the Unibet Lincoln on Saturday because this horse wasn’t far behind him at the track in September. Ground won’t be a problem and Thore’s 3lbs claim is an obvious plus.
