Cheltenham Thursday

1.20pm

Chantry House

Obviously, we are all playing for places if Envoi Allen lives up to his star billing but he is not over the line just yet. Third in the Supreme last season, Chantry House’s only blemish over fences came here on what was very deep ground in December but he bounced back with a good win at Wetherby last time. Like I said, beating the favourite could be a very big ask but he has a lot to recommend him. Unibet's 15 To Go Offer is running on all Cheltenham Festival races.

1.55pm

Champagne Platinum

He was a fair seventh in the Kim Muir here last season and he has shaped nicely in both hurdle starts this season, though I wasn’t on board when he was second to the massive improver Bushypark at Haydock last time. Hopefully, there is more to come from him and he has an attractive, lightly-raced profile. It is a devilishly-hard handicap though, as we all know. Unibet's 15 To Go Offer is running on all Cheltenham Festival races.

2.30pm

Mister Fisher

It can dry up as much as it wants for this horse. This is another incredibly deep race but I like to think he has as good a chance as any in here. A winner here last season, when he was also fourth in the Marsh, he left his reappearance run firmly behind him when winning under a penalty at this track in December and he comes here a fresh horse at the top of his game, and hopefully an improving one, too. You can make a case for several in here, but I think he is set to run a very big race myself. Unibet's 15 To Go Offer is running on all Cheltenham Festival races.

4.50pm

Morning Vicar

He didn’t run up to his best on soft ground at Sandown last time, but hopefully it will be a lot better here. If it is, then he would have chances on previous Newbury defeat of Nestor Park and I think he is still fairly treated off a 5lb higher mark. The 3m2f trip is the obvious question mark but we will soon find out if he stays. Unibet's 15 To Go Offer is running on all Cheltenham Festival races.
