This looks a tough spot for him against three smart novices, but we know what a good hurdler he was, it’s a small-field Grade 2 and more experience for him, so let’s see how we get on. The drying ground is very much in his favour and he ran well for a very long way on his chasing debut over course and distance over Christmas before taking in a jumpers’ bumper last time.  This is obviously a tough task, but he does have the ability to spring an upset.

Runner-up in his only point, he shaped well for me when third at Carlisle back in November. This looks a tougher task but hopefully he has the ability to get involved.
