We got the show off to a good start at Kempton on Tuesday where Mafia Power was our first runner of the season and ran a very good race to finish a very close up fourth in what looked a decent maiden. As I said in yesterday’s blog, he will definitely come on for that run and is a colt with a bright future. The others ran ok but it was clear they got tired on ground that was pretty hard work.

Just three runners at Kempton but we go mob handed in the Unibet Snowdrop Stakes which dad won with Shamwari Lodge ten years ago and Zurigha came home in front for me in 2014 but was later disqualified so it would be nice to win it myself once and for all!

KEMPTON – WEDNESDAY

3:55 Unibet Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes (Listed)

BILLESDON BROOK (Sean Levey)

She is an absolute superstar and has more than proved that her win in the Guineas was no fluke as victories in a Goodwood G3 and G1 Sun Chariot Stakes last season will testify and she’s now part of the furniture who will be driving the horse box to Kempton herself! Her work has been good but she does have to carry a penalty and will definitely come on for the run – that said, if she can win, she damn well will!

POSTED (Tom Marquand)

Posted worked very well at Kempton last time and is certainly no slouch. She’s got to improve a bit on ratings compared to some of the others but she’s strengthened up into a nice filly and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see her run a huge race.

SESAME BIRAH (Pat Dobbs)

She hasn’t been away and has done everything at home but her work has been very good and she’s extremely tough. We’re keeping her to a mile for the time being but she’s not short of speed so could easily drop back if needs be. This is her biggest task but she’s grown a lot over the winter and is open to improvement.
