He had the option of this race or the 3m handicap chase on the card, but this looks the right call in the heavy ground. He clearly handles these conditions really well though, as he showed when winning over an extended 2m4f here last time. He has gone up 7lb in the weights and steps down in trip, but hopefully neither will be an issue and he looks to have very solid claims.
