I have won three times on him, and he comes here in great form.  None of those victories came at this track but he ran well here in June and he has improved on that showing in recent starts, winning at Newmarket and then finishing a good third to a couple of well-handicapped horses at Yarmouth last time. You couldn’t say he is obviously well weighted, but he has run well off higher marks in the past and he comes here in good nick, so I am hopeful from a fair draw in three.

He hasn’t run up to his best on his last two starts but he has come down in the weights for those starts, and he is certainly well-weighted now if returning to form. His last win came off a 3lb higher mark than this and a reproduction of his fifth here in June would see him be competitive. And he has also won around here, too, so let’s hope he can return show more, with the blinkers replacing the cheek pieces.
