IF YOU are wondering where I am this weekend, I am in America for something a little bit different.

I am riding at Kentucky Downs. They only open in September, and have one Festival a year there.

It’s about half an hour from Nashville.

I have six rides planned, though it remains to be seen whether Gordon Elliott’s Longclaw gets into the juvenile race. I hope he does as it’s a $500,000 contest. The same prize is also up for grabs in the Listed Fillies’ race for 2yos, where I ride Battleofwinterfell for Mark Casse.

In fact, prize money for the meeting is pretty unbelievable – the maiden is worth $130,000 – so here is hoping I get lucky!

It’s always good to try something a little different, anyway, regardless of the results.
