Chamade
Mr Beckett won this race last year with a newcomer, so let’s hope that’s a good omen. A mile looks a good starting point for this filly on pedigree, as she is a half-sister to the smart middle-distance horse Brimham Rocks and her dam was decent over 1m4f, too. I don’t know much about her at the moment, though.

Goodman Square
She hasn’t shown a great deal so far, but both of those runs were at top tracks and hopefully this filly will improve with her racing. She clearly faces a tough task on what she has shown so far.

Tin Fandango
I rode him when he won over course and distance in April and I think he is still fairly treated off a 4lb higher mark here. We haven’t seen him since a below-par effort at Chelmsford later that month but hopefully he is fit and well after his break. And he did run well on his first start this year when second at Kempton for me.

Dubai Blue
She returns to the scene of her novice win over course and distance last September, and hopefully a mark of 88 allows her to be competitive. They thought enough of her to let her take her chance in the Musidora, but things didn’t work out there and this is obviously an easier assignment for her, back down in trip.
