That sole defeat came against India, who rattled the Aussies with a huge 352 run haul that was easily defended at The Oval. Fast-forward three days and Australia arrive in Taunton seeking a routine win over Pakistan side whose campaign is yet to get fully underway.
Pakistan lost to the West Indies in their opening game but beat hosts England by 14 runs at Trent Bridge, sparking hope they could well make a challenge for the World Cup here. Frustratingly, their match with Sri Lanka was a wash-out, meaning they have some catching up to do.
