I'M looking forward to the Unibet Injured Jockeys’ Fund football game next Wednesday.

I’ve got two left feet and not much of a footballer but I am certainly better than Paddy Brennan.

My valet Chris Maude says I have to look after Luke Morris too, as he gets so many rides, he pays most of his bills.

To be serious, it’s a great cause and it should be fun if you can get along.

Mister Fisher

We obviously expected a little more from him at Cheltenham, and we think he will prove to be better than his current mark of 145. Certainly, his earlier wins at Kempton and Haydock worked out very well, and better ground will hopefully see him leave his Supreme run well behind him.

As his form figures suggest, he has been a model of consistency this season, and this trip on decent ground are fine for him. Whether or not he finds another too good here we will see, but he has each-way claims on his best form, for sure.

Colonial Dreams

I don’t know what happened at Taunton last time – he was never going – but he has had a nice break since then and at least the handicapper eased him 1lb for it. If he returns to the form of his previous Ascot second then he has every chance, and we know good ground serves him well.

O’Connell Street

I didn’t ride him on his debut at Market Rasen last time but he looks to have shaped very well against another fancied newcomer. We have been lucky enough to have won this race a few times in recent years, so hopefully O’Connell Street can improve and go close. It’s obviously a competitive race, though.
