IT WAS great of ITV Racing to ask me on the Opening Show this Saturday morning, and I will be on the afternoon programme, too.
It all helps fill the time as I recover from my broken leg!
There isn’t a great deal to report on my injury, if truth be told.
I missed a scheduled scan on my leg before Christmas as I had a vomiting virus – that wasn't a pleasant three days, I can tell you – but I managed to get that done last Friday and it was all positive news on my ligaments.
But I will know a lot more on the timescale of my return when I go for an X–ray on January 28. So everything is up in the air until then.
All you can do is keep as active as possible, and that is where Oaksey House is an absolute godsend.
I am there most days, and I am actually in a car on my way there now.
I have been doing a lot of work on the water treadmill, and plenty in the gym, too, so I am keeping upbeat and focused.
I don’t know what us jockeys would do without these brilliant rehab centres.
