Hockey live stream and betting tips
Bruins vs Ducks – Friday, December 21 at 00:00 GMT
The Bruins are desperately chasing the leading pack in the Atlantic Division but have found form hard to come by of late. Heading into Friday’s game, Boston boast a W5 L5 record. Now, that included stunning wins over the Canadiens and Maple Leafs. But they were also undone 5-0 by the Panthers towards the start of this month.
Boston come up against a Ducks side who themselves are seeking a playoff place. They’ve been leapfrogged by the Sharks in the Pacific Division recently and a win here is much needed. Now, Anaheim have won their last nine games against the Bruins — a staggering record that may well be extended to 10 come Friday.
Of those nine games, only once have they shut Boston out completely. So expect both teams to score at least two goals at 1.54. Boston are the 2.04 favourites to win this game. But the form is siding with the Ducks at 3.20.
Coyotes vs Canadiens – Friday, December 21 at 02:00 GMT
This is the game for hardcore NHL betting fans to watch. The Canadiens have slumped from their strong early-season form and require a few strong wins over Christmas to get back on track in the Atlantic Division. They head into this game having just lose to the Avalanche and Bruins, scoring just one goal over that period.
Montreal will be delighted to have Arizona next, with the Coyotes enduring a miserable season in the Pacific Division. Two defeats on the bounce leaves them second-bottom of the table and they may soon be leapfrogged by the Kings, who beat the Jets 4-1 in midweek.
The Coyotes won their last two games with Montreal last season but this term the tides have changed. It won’t be a pretty game — neither side has a particularly strong offence and their defences have laboured this campaign. Back -3.5 goals at 6.00 and get ready for a scrap on the ice.
Devils vs Senators – Saturday, December 22 at 00:00 GMT
Ottawa beat the Predators 4-3 on Tuesday and will hope to follow up that victory with a routine win against the Devils. Ottawa know they have bigger, tougher games to come over December and this is the sort of game that just needs winning.
The Senators six third-bottom of the Atlantic Division but the gap between them and fourth-placed Boston isn’t too great. And NHL betting fans can almost be sure to bank on a win here on Saturday.
That is in large part because the Devils have been one of the worst teams in the NHL this season. Just 11 wins from 32 games and a -22 goal difference points to a team in desperate need of some directional guidance. The Devils defence has proved to be their ultimate sticking point, with a morale-crushing 7-2 loss to Toronto on Wednesday not helping matters.
Back the Senators at 3.25 to win here. It’s the big bet of the round.
