Peter Wright v Jose De Sousa

In tipping this fixture earlier in the campaign, I said that the 180 count could get a little silly. Well, they delivered and with JDS in the kind of form that prints maximums, you will have to get on that again. Peter Wright will come in with his own amount too, but as to who will come out on top in this match, you would be remiss of tossing a coin.

De Sousa has the better form in recent games and he will remember dismantling Snakebite 7-2 the last time they played. If Peter cannot hold him back in the scoring stakes, the same result could happen quite easily, but after missing out on ranking action lately, Peter may have a level of freshness that JDS might not possess. There are arguments for both, but in my opinion, Jose looks the more likely to deliver even though they started this cluster of matches on the same amount of points.

Michael Van Gerwen v James Wade

Some people thought I was mad when I tipped James to beat Michael earlier in the event, but sometimes you just know when someone is going to be fired up, and back then I was spot on. This time, I am not getting the same vibes. This time, Michael is in need of manufacturing points with clouds of doubt circling about his consistency and form, and he could earmark a win against James to close this bunch of fixtures and go back home feeling ok about his chances of making the top 4.

If Michael gets a good start, he will win in my view, but if it is tied after 6 legs, I won’t be convinced that MVG will get over the line.

This is the ideal game for James to fire in a finish of around 121 on the bull, and you can find little wagers on things like that with Unibet. I feel after a couple of days of action, James will be sharp and get some big legs from Michael, but I cannot call the result as it is too close.
