NEWBURY – SATURDAY

12.40pm

Buzz De Turcoing

A winning pointer, he clearly had a very tough task on his hurdling debut back in April. But he didnlt shape too badly and hopefully a wind op since and a first-time hood well help him.

1.50pm

The Wolf

He clearly didn’t run up to his best for me at Bangor last time but at least he has come down 2lb for it, and a reproduction of his earlier Fakenham win, or his third here last season, can see him prove a lot more competitive. Better ground could suit him but he does have some form on soft. If he is the horse I think he is, he is on a very good mark and hopefully he can get back on track here.

KELSO – SUNDAY

11.45pm

Rintulla

He disappointed when the yard was under a bit of a cloud in October but they are clearly in better form now and he showed plenty of ability when winning his bumper at Carlisle earlier in the year. So hopefully he can put his best foot forward here.

2.35pm

Man Of Plenty

He ran a lot better when sixth for me at Cheltenham last time and he is 5lb lower here. So I’d say he definitely has a winning chance here, as he is on a very attractive mark, with conditions to suit.
